What is BITSAT?

  • The Birla Institute of Technology & Science conducts the BIT Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT) every year.

  • There are three institutions that consider BITSAT scores.

  • This university-level examination is conducted in order to provide admission to UG and PG courses.

How to apply for BITSAT

Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT

  • Subjects:

You must have compulsorily studied Physics, Chemistry and Math’s /Biology in your 10+2 or equivalent examination.

  • 12th standard or equivalent examination:

You must have passed the 12th examination of a 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State Board or its equivalent examination.

  • Score:

You must have passed your 10+2 with an aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology.

You must have secured 60% in each of the three subjects.

You must be proficient in English.

  • Age:

Only those candidates, who are appearing in Class 12 in the same year as the year of examination or have cleared Class 12 one year prior to giving BITSAT, are eligible.

  • Top rank holders:

If you are a top ranker or a candidate with Rank 1 in Central or State Boards in India, you will be offered admission to the program of your choice; irrespective of your score or rank in BITSAT (as long as you meet the above criteria).

Registration for BITSAT

Step 1: Filling the application form

  • Visit the BITSAT 2019 official website and click on ‘Apply here’ for BITSAT 2019

  • Enter your basic details like name, gender, date of birth, email ID and nationality

  • Enter your examination details like score, name of institute, year of passing etc.

Step 2: Choose your test center

  • Choose 3 test centers, as per your preference (unless you choose Dubai, then you don’t need to select any other centers)

  • Verify all the details and confirm your submission

  • Note down your ‘Unique Registration Number’

Step 3: Payment of fees

  • You can make a payment offline via ICICI Bank Challan payment

  • Or through the online mode using a Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking

  • Don’t forget to take a printout of your filled out application form for future reference

Step 4: Procedure post submission of application form

  • Keep checking the BITSAT application form status to ensure that your application request has been acknowledged

  • If you discover any mistake in the application form that you’ve submitted, you can edit or correct the form details till the first week of March

Exam Centers for BITSAT

BITSAT was held across 47 centers.

Admit Card for BITSAT

  • The admit card is available once you have booked your slots for the entrance exam as per the schedule and available slots in any exam center.

  • The admit cards will be available from 2nd week of April, 2019

  • You should preserve the admit card till the end of the admission process

  • Without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam center.
